Wazir, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani remains low, get set for Airlift

Last weekend turned out to be a disaster for Bollywood as there was no significant release. Wazir, Dilwale, and Bajirao Mastani remained low.

Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starer Wazir had a low second weekend at the domestic box office. After a decent opening weekend with the collection of 30.06 crores, the movie dropped further and managed to collect only 6.2 crores in its second weekend. Wazir now stands at the total collection of 36.26 crores.

Made on a budget of 45 crores, Wazir is the first flop of 2016. January has always been a terrible month for Bollywood as most of the movies released during this period crumbled at Box Office.

As there were no big releases this week, Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale and Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani managed to add more moolah to their kitty. Bajirao Mastani collected around three crores in its 5th weekend thus taking its total collection to 184 crores. The movie is now the 12th highest grosser of all time in Bollywood.

Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale, however, remains low and collected only one crore. The movie is yet to cross 150 crores at the domestic Box Office, a number that we generally don’t associate with Shahrukh Khan these days.

All eyes are are now set on Akshay Kumar’s Airlift slated for release this Friday. The movie has created huge buzz before its release, thanks to its promising plot and superb trailer. Airlift looks like Akshay Kumar’s best movie in recent times thus the expectations are enormous.
