Coldplay’s lead Chris Martin has landed in Mumbai for The Global Citizen Festival, which will be held tomorrow. After his arrival, a welcome bash was kept in Chris Martin’s honor and the who’s who of Bollywood attended it.
The Coldplay performance is a part of Global Citizen India movement brought to India by Global Citizen, a social action platform, and Global Education and Leadership Foundation, an organization to cultivate and improve the state of the planet through collective action. Around 80,000 people are slated to attend the six-hour festival at the Bandra-Kurla Complex grounds on November 19. Joining Chris Martin will be Jay-Z, Demi Lovato and the rock band The Vamps. Performing from Bollywood along with them will be Amitabh Bachchan with Shillong Chamber Choir, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, AR Rahman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Arijit Singh. Few segments of the show will be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Riteish Deshmukh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Malaika Arora Khan.
