The week Bollywood is going to war around Mardaani, Mad about Dance, Life is beautiful, Katiyaabaaz along with previous week’s Singham Returns. Though we have an important subject being discussed in Mardaani, it still won’t be a box office fulhouse material.
Let’s see what the movies releasing this week bring with them in detail :-
Mardaani – Staring Rani Mukerji, Banner – YRF
Mardaani is more of a heroic take by Rani as a protagonist on a common social issue of ‘human trafficking’. The story is set on a cat and mouse chase between the villains (trafficking mafias) and Rani Mukerji as a fearless cop. I feel, it will be interesting to watch, unless you would like to avoid some serious and intense stuff on the silver screen.
Interestingly, Mardaani has been buzzing around for being the first Yash Raj banner flick to get ‘A’ rating.

Mad About Dance – Staring
Mad is a justified word to describe the flick from whatever we can collect so far. MAD is about dance, for dance and is dance. If you are interested in dancing, this is your pick of the week. however, if you prefer avoiding dance floors, you should miss this one.
Directed by Saahil Prem and written by Saahil Prem and acted by Saahil Prem with Amrit Maghera, this movie has Saahil Prem in higher stakes as he just started his career in Ragini MMS 2.

Katiyaabaaz
Katiyaabaaz is a much lesser known small budget movie releasing this week. Katiyaaabaaz is a documentary on Indian Electrical System’s ‘vicious dilemma’ where un authorised electricity distribution is killing not only the electricity board but also acting as a hurdle in its growth. Meanwhile there are poor who don’t have access to electricity.
Director Fahad Mustafa takes two people on different sides of same coin and weaves a cinema about the unchanged political situation in and around kanpur( town in northern India).
Life is Beautiful
Life is Beautiful is another small budget feature film that will release on 22nd August 2014. Directed by Manoj Amarnani, the movie claims to be comic, romance and drama gendered. Basically based out on Canadian protagonist, the movie intends to explore the complications and beauty which relationships bring in with them.
