Torrent sites leak HD copies of ‘Black Widow’ for free download on the day of its digital release on Disney+.
After waiting for almost 15 years, Marvel’s biggie ‘Black Widow’ has finally made it to the cinemas globally. Along with the theatrical release, it is being released directly online — on Disney+ with Premiere Access in select markets. However, this release strategy seems to have backfired for Marvel as several torrent websites have released HD copies of Black Widow for free download. Most of these copies have good audio and video quality as they are downloaded from Disney Plus.
The first authentic version of ‘Black Widow’ was released on notorious torrent site The Pirate Bay on Friday, minutes after its arrival on Disney Plus. Well, this is a big concern for Disney as Black Widow is not released in countries where theaters are closed due to the pandemic. The Marvel biggie is also not published in countries like India where the Disney Plus premium service is unavailable. In China, which is a big market for Marvel movies, Black Widow still doesn’t have a release date.
In the U.S. and Canada, the Marvel biggie is landing in 4,100 theaters. It is also available for streaming on Disney+ with Premier Access in select markets. On Disney+, you need to pay $30 for Black Widow on top of your monthly subscription fee.
