Black Widow Box Office Predictions: After waiting for almost 15 months, Marvel’s long-awaited Black Widow will debut on July 9, 2021.

After being almost dead for a year, the box office is reviving. Vin Diesels’ F9 managed to bring the audience back to theaters. Last weekend, the high octane action thriller grossed $500 million globally, making way for other holdover releases. Next in the line is Marvel’s long-awaited Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson in a titular role.

After waiting for almost 15 months, Marvel’s long-awaited Black Widow will debut around the world on July 9, 2021. It screened at several red carpet fan events on June 20, 2021. Excellent reviews on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes has raised the excitement level for this Marvel biggie. The fans are all geared up to witness Black Widow on big screens as the film has gone past the advance ticket sales of F9 and A Quiet Place Part II, the two biggest openers post-pandemic.

As per Fandango, Black Widow will take the biggest post-pandemic opening in the United States beating F9. Vin Diesel starrer is currently the biggest domestic opener of the pandemic era with a debut of $70 million. Fandango is expecting Black Widow to beat the pre-pandemic Marvel titles Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Doctor Strange (2016), which debuted domestically to $117 million and $85 million, respectively.

In the U.S. and Canada, the Marvel biggie is arriving on 4,100 theaters on Friday following Thursday evening previews. Trade experts are predicting Black Widow to cross $85 million in its opening weekend domestically including the paid previews. It is set to earn an additional $50 million from 46 overseas territories.

In China, which is a big market for Marvel movies, Black Widow still doesn’t have a release date. The film is premiering simultaneously on Disney Plus Premium for a $30 rental fee.
