Besides these two biggies releasing in theatres, a couple of most-awaited movies are debuting this week on OTT. So, gear up for an exciting weekend. A look at movies to look out for this weekend.
KGF Chapter 2 releasing in theatres on Apr 14
The biggest theatrical release of this week is Yash’s KGF Chapter 2. A sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, KGF, is set to take an earth-shattering opening worldwide. The Hindi version of KGF 2 has already grossed Rs 15 Crore in advance booking for the opening day. The trailer has impressed everyone and trade experts are expecting a tsunami at the box office. In fact, the Hindi version of the movie is set to take one of the biggest openings of all time.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj.
Beast releasing in theatres on Apr 13
Next on the list is Tamil superstar Vijay’s action-thriller Beast. The movie is written and directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures. It also stars Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley in supporting roles. The movie is about a spy’s quest to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists.
Beast is a pan India movie releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. In the home state, Tamil Nadu, it is set to take a bumper opening.

Bachchan Pandey on Prime Video on April 15
Bachchan Pandey debuted in theatres on March 18, 2022, and tanked at the box office. It will make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video on April 15, 2022.
Directed by Farhad Samji is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean movie A Dirty Carnival.
James on Sony LIV on Apr 14
Puneeth Rajkumar’s last movie James released in theatres on Mar 17, 2022. After a blockbuster success on silver screens, it is making its OTT debut on Sony LV on Apr 14, 2022.
Directed by Chethan Kumar, the movie also stars Shivaraj Kumar, Priya Anand, R. Sarathkumar, and Srikanth among others. James is an action-thriller about a man named James who runs a security agency and has been commissioned to take care of a family that owns a drug cartel. But is there more to who Santhosh (James) really is?
