Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale are the top overseas grossers of 2015.
Just like any other year, 2015 was also dominated by the Khans of Bollywood. Though Aamir Khan has no release this year, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan along with Akshay Kumar ruled the Indian and domestic Box Office. 2015 proved to be a tremendous year for Salman Khan as both his movies went on to become blockbusters. In fact, Bajrangi Bhaijaan with the total worldwide collection of 626 crores become the second highest grosser of all time after PK.
Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale may be struggling at the domestic Box Office but the movie is performing exceptionally well in overseas. Dilwale with the collection of $16.75 million is the second highest overseas grosser of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan ($29 million). It’s good to see that low budget movies like Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Piku are also in the list of top overseas grossers of 2015. Tanu Weds Manu Returns is at fifth position with the collection of 48.96 crores while Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starer Piku is at 8th position with the collection of 40.8 crores.
