Badlapur First Week Box Office Collection : Third Highest Opening Week Of 2015 With  Collection of 37 Crores.

After registering a decent start at Box Office, Varun Dhawan’s revenge drama Badlapur remains steady at Box Office throughout its first week. Badlapur starts off well at Box Office with opening day collection of 7 crores as per our expectations. The movie shows decent growth on weekend and end up with opening weekend collection of 24 crores.

Badlapur opened to ecstatic reviews across the country. The reviews from critics has been tremendous and WOM from public has also been good. The movie is loved by everyone and the critics have applauded the performances of the lead star cast specially Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Badlapur was released Last Friday on around 1700 screens across the country.  The movie starts off slowly on opening day with morning show’s registered occupancy of around 25% to 30%. With rave movies coming in, the movie saw decent growth in occupancy throughout the opening weekend.

The movie remains strong on weekdays. On Monday, the movie dropped by only 40% which is superb as most Bollywood movies drop by 50% to 60%. Badlapur collected around 13 crores on weekdays and now stands at a total of 37 crores.

Badlapur performed well in metros and multiplexes while single screens and mass centers were average. The movie is performing well is Maharashtra, Pune and Mumbai.

With 37 crores collection in opening week, Badlapur is the third highest opening week grosser of 2015.

Badlapur is made on a budget of 25 crores (Including Printing and Advertisement cost). The movie is already in a safe zone. It would be interesting to see how the movie performs in coming days as it has to compete with three other releases this week and that too on a lower screen count. The movie may emerge out as first super hit of 2015 which Bollywood is desperately looking for. As per my prediction, the movie will surely be a first big hit with lifetime collection of around 50 crores.
