Neeraj Pandey is getting geared up for Baby Prequel. Titled as ‘Meera’, it will have Taapsee Pannu in the lead.
Neeraj Pandey and Akshay Kumar have given us some great movies like Baby and Special 26. Now they are both planning to co-produce Baby prequel that will feature Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.
According to a report of DNA, “Akshay is all for women’s safety and encourages women to start training in mixed martial arts for self defence. He runs a foundation that imparts such training to women here. He has been wanting to produce a female-oriented action flick for the longest time. So, it was his idea that Baby 2 should have a woman protagonist. He loved what Taapsee had done in that hotel action sequence in Baby and he asked Neeraj to go ahead with her. It was his idea.”
Other than Taapsee Pannu, Manoj Bajpayee and Aiyaa fame Prithviraj have been roped in for pivotal roles. Reportedly, one more actor will be a part of the movie. Meera will revolve around the story of Taapsee’s character and how she becomes an agent, finally leading to BABY.
Taapsee Pannu has confirmed the news by saying “I play the titular role in this action thriller and I’m undergoing training in martial arts to prepare for the action scenes.”
