Azhar Music Review and Soundtrack | It's all about love, love and love
Nargis, Prachi and Emraan in Azhar

Azhar is based on the life and story of the famous and rather controversial cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. The album of Azhar is short with just five songs composed by Amaal Malik, DJ Chetas and Pritam. The lyrics are penned by Kumaar and Rashmi Virag. Emraan Hashmi’s movies generally have good music and Azhar is not an exception here. Check out our Azhar music review in detail-

1. Bol Do Na Zara

The song ‘Bol Do Na Zara’ is sung by Armaan Malik, music composed by Amaal Mallik and the lyrics are penned down by Rashmi Virag. It’s a soothing romantic number, unlike other typical romantic Bollywood songs brings a lot of freshness with it. The chemistry between Emraan and Nargis is rather electrifying.

2. Itni Si Baat Hain

‘Itni Si Baat Hain’ is a melody by Pritam in the soulful voice of Arijit Singh along with Antara Mitra’s beautiful voice. The lyrics of Manoj Yadav make the song even more beautiful. This one is a feel good romantic song that reminds us a lot of previous Arijit Singh’s numbers.

3. Oye Oye

‘Oye Oye’ is the rehashed version of the super hit song from the 90’s movie Trishul. The music of ‘Oye Oye’ is composed and recreated by DJ Chetas while the lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi. The song is crooned by Aditi Singh Sharma and Armaan Malik. I think it was a great idea to recreate the super-hit Sangeeta Bijlani song for this movie.

4. Tu Hi Na Jaane

Another one of Amaal Malik composition, in the voices of Sonu Nigam and Prakriti Kakar. The song has lyrics by Kumaar. But this track is not as impressive as the first track of the album, doesn’t leave much of an impression even after a repetitive hearing.

5. Jeetne Ke Liye

‘Jeetne Ke Liye’ is the only track of the album that reminds us that this is a biopic of a sportsman. Sung by KK, composed by Amaal Malik, lyrics by Kumaar, this is a situational motivational number that revolves around the passion of cricket.

Azhar Music Review – Final Verdict and Rating: The songs of Azhar are quite soothing to hear, could easily become chartbusters for a few weeks like every Emraan Hashmi’s movie songs. Our pick of the lot would be ‘Bol Do Na Zara’ and ‘Itni Si Baat Hain’.

Our Rating: 3.5 Stars
