After an average opening weekend with the collection of 20.8 crores, Emraan Hashmi starrer Azhar witnessed a drop more than 50% compared to the opening day. As per the latest reports, Azhar 4th day collection is around 3 crores. With the collection of 2.95 crores on Monday, Azhar now stands at the total collection of 23.75 crores.

Azhar is performing well in mass circuits and small centers where Emraan Hashmi enjoys a good fan following. The real problem remains that the movie has no takers in metros and multiplexes. Around 75% of the total Box Office earning is from small centers.
Well, the expectations from the movie were quite high before release but somehow it failed because of a poor script and melodramatic sequences. Overall, the result is poor considering that Emraan Hashmi was eyeing a strong back after a series of flops. Though there is no big competition till the release of Housefull 3, it is highly unlikely that Azhar will take the advantage of this rough period.
Made on a budget of around 40 crores, Azhar needs to earn more than 45 crores to be called a hit at the Box Office. Considering the current pace, it looks difficult for the movie to even touch 40 crores.
