Shehenshah of Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan and one of the most loved actors from the young brigade – Varun Dhawan, are coming together for a movie called ‘Dabba Gul’.
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar of ‘Mardaani’ fame, the film will be a feel-good movie with humor on the lines of Munna Bhai franchise. “Bachchan Sr plays the head of the dabbawalas in Mumbai whereas Varun is an MBA topper and he decides to enrol for a two-month internship with the Dabbawalas.” confirms a close source. “It’s about the bond that the two form and how Big B helps him learn the ropes of the business. It’s a slice-of-life feel-good film, but it’s also inspirational in many ways. It’s about the dignity of labour. It’s more like today’s Naya Daur” adds the source.
According to the reports, Senior Bachchan has already been signed whereas Dhawan is trying to sort out dates from his busy schedule.
This will be the first time that Shehenshah will be collaborating with Junior Dhawan for a movie, although he has worked previously with David Dhawan for ‘Bade Miyaan Chote Miyaan’ and Hum Kisi se Kum Nahi’.
