Netflix has renewed the popular Korean zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” for Season 2.

As expected, Netflix has renewed the hit Korean zombie series ‘All of Us Are Dead’ for a second season. Netflix made the announcement on Monday, June 6, 2022, on Day 1 of Netflix’s Geeked Week.

The first season of ‘All of Us Are Dead’ debuted on the streamer on Jan 28, 2022. Well, the renewal came as no surprise to us as the series is one of the streamer’s top ten non-English-language shows of all time. It is the second most-streamed Korean show on Netflix after last year’s “Squid Game.”

Netflix reports that, after its premiere, All of Us Are Dead shot straight into the Top 10 most-watched non-English TV series in 91 countries and stayed there for two consecutive weeks. It also attracted 361 million viewing hours in its first 10 days.

The second season announcement was made through a video that features the four main actors of the series — Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun and Lomon. They can be seen thanking fans for their support and confirming that Season 2 is on the way. Watch the video:

The series is based on the Naver webtoon Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun. It focuses on a small town plagued by zombies due to a mysterious virus. A school becomes the epicenter of the infection. The Netflix summary of the series reads:

“A high school becomes ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. Trapped students must fight their way out — or turn into one of the rabid infected.”

Season 1 of ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is exclusively available on Netflix. You’ll need a Netflix subscription to watch the series. The first season has 12 episodes of 54 to 75 minutes.
