Akshay Kumar’s Ikka To Go On Floors In 2017: A. R. Murugadoss

Akshay Kumar’s Ikka, a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi will go on floors in 2017. The script of Ikka will be tweaked as per Bollywood sensibilities confirms AR Murugadoss.
We have already informed you that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a lead role in Ikka, a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi released in 2014. Now the director A. R. Murugadoss has confirmed that the team is working on the script of the movie.

During the promotions of his latest movie Akira, A. R. Murugadoss said, “After Akira releases, our complete focus will be on Ikka. We will have to tweak the script as per the Bollywood sensibilities. There are some date issues with Akshay Kumar, once everything is sorted out, we will go on floors.”

Ikka will be directed by AR Murugadoss’s associate director, Jaganshakti. Directed by AR Murugadoss ,’Kaththi’ starred Tamil Vijay in a double role and was the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2014. Earlier, there were reports that A.R. Murugadoss was in talk with Salman Khan for the lead role but the things didn’t get finalised.

This will be the second time Akshay Kumar will star in the Hindi remake of Vijay’s film. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ was the remake of Vijay’s ‘Thupakki’. Interestingly, both movies were directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Akshay Kumar already has four releases in 2017. Here is a list of his upcoming movies to be released in 2017 and 2018.
