Akshay Kumar in Dhoom 4: John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played the antagonists in the first three films respectively.

Ever since the release of Dhoom 3 in 2013, the fans are waiting for the next instalment of the franchise. In the past seven years, there have been multiple reports on who’s is going to play the antagonist in the film. From Shah Rukh Khan to Ranveer Singh to Salman Khan, many names surfaced but nothing is official as yet.

Now a tweet by trade analyst Atul Mohan has created waves. An industry source has confirmed to Bollywood analyst Atul Mohan that Akshay Kumar has been confirmed for Dhoom 4.

He wrote, “A highly placed source has revealed that #AkshayKumar has been confirmed for #Dhoom4. Let’s wait for official announcement soon.”

Well, this is some news for all Akshay Kumar’s fans out there. It is coming at the time when Akshay Kumar has just started working for Yash Raj Film’s Prithviraj. Akshay has collaborated with Aditya Chopra after a long time. The two worked together for Tashan released around 10 years back.

Akshay Kumar’s name was surfaced last year as well when a new website stated that Akshay Kumar is very much onboard for Dhoom 4. However, Yash Rah Films rubbished the report at that time.

If some reports are to be believed then Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who were part of all the three Dhoom films, may not appear in Dhoom 4. However, there is no official announcement on this development as well.

Dhoom is possibly the biggest Bollywood franchise. All three Dhoom films were big blockbusters at the box office. John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played the antagonists in the first three films respectively.
