Few days back, we reported that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a lead role in the Hindi remake of Tamil Blockbuster ‘Kaththi‘ which is to be produced by A.R. Murugadoss. Now as per the latest information, the actor has been roped in for another movie ‘Ikka‘, which will be directed by Murugadoss himself.
The buzz is that the movie will go on floors by the end of 2016 and will be released in the later half of 2017. Akshay Kumar and A. R. Murugadoss previously worked together in ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty‘ which was the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Thupakki‘.
According to Box Office India report:
[quote]It’s not a remake and it’s not based on a true story. It’s a fictional story written by Murgadoss. The director is currently working on Akira and once he finishes that, he will put the final touches on Ikka, whose script has already been finalised.[/quote]
