Akshay Kumar, who is currently busy in promoting his upcoming movie Mission Mangal, will be seen as a cop in his next movie, Sooryavanshi, which is being directed by Rohit Shetty. Earlier Akshay’s Sooryavanshi was clashing with Salman Khan’s Inshallah.
Earlier this year, the release date of Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi was shifted to March 27 to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Inshallah, which is booked for Eid 2020. Inshallah stars Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles and is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In June, Salman Khan made the announcement about Sooryavanshi’s release date by thanking Rohit Shetty in a heartfelt post. He wrote:
“I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it… Rohit Shetty. Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March 2020.”

Recently, Akshay Kumar was asked about his clash with Inshallah that has now been averted, to which he said:
“It is always a good sign that the two movies do not come at the same time. It is good that it (clash) is averted,”
“However, the clash between any two films is likely to happen. We are making 210 Hindi films and we have 52 weeks in a year. So, we are bound to have two or more films releasing on the same date.”
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar announced his another movie, Bachchan Pandey, which will clash with Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha on Christmas next year. When asked about the same, he said:
“The clash is bound to happen,”
Talking about Sooryavanshi, the movie stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and will mark Rohit Shetty’s fourth cop drama.
