The superstar and highest-earning actor of Bollywood ‘Akshay Kumar’ has completed 29 years in Bollywood. The self-made superstar Akshay is an inspiration to millions of youngsters. He broke the myth that to get success in the film industry you should belong to Bollywood family or you must have a godfather. From a chef in Bangkok to one of the most successful actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has come a long way.
The made his Bollywood debut with Saugandh released exactly on the same day 29 years ago. The film tanked at the box office. Akshay continued to struggle for a couple of years as his films were getting flopped. However, he was noticed for his dancing capabilities and daring stunts.

Director Abbas-Mustan’s thriller film Khiladi turned the tables. His first big hit was Mohra, released in 1994. In 1994 he starred in Yash Chopra’s Yeh Dillagi opposite Kajol, for which he was nominated for the best actor at the Filmfare Awards and Star Screen Award. Action sequence remained his USP in the ’90s. Akshay saw big success with the ‘Khiladi’ series which includes: Khiladi, Mein Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi & Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
As his career progressed, Akshay proved his versatility as an actor, starring in comedy films (Hera Pheri, Mujse Shaadi Karogi, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Singh is Kinng), drama films (Waqt, Patiala House, Andaaz, Airlift), romantic films (Yeh Dillagi, Dhadkan, Andaaz, Namastey London) and action films (Khiladi series, Baby, Rowdy Rathode).

In the last 10 years, Akshay has emerged as the biggest superstar of Bollywood. His films are making huge money at the box office. He is getting better and better as an actor. Overall, there is no stopping him right now. 2019 turned out a magical year for Akshay as he delivered four super hits films. Three of these four films earned Rs 200+ crore. 2019 was just a trailer as Akshay is set for even better 2020 with films like Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey.
