Airlift 5th Day Collection: Akshay Kumar’ ‘Airlift’ earns 17.8 crores on first Tuesday. Total Box Office collection in five days is 72.5 crores

This was pretty much on the cards after a good opening day and excellent trend throughout the weekend. As expected Akshay Kumar’sAirlift‘ took full advantage of the Republic Day holiday. As per the official reports, Airlift 5th day collection is 17.8 crores. With 17.8 crores on the 5th day, the movie now stands at the total collection of 72.5 crores.

Airlift 1st day Collection: 12.35 crores (8th highest opening day for Akshay)

The movie has already beaten the opening week collection of Akshay Kumar’s last few releases, Holiday (67.46 crores), Housefull 2 (64.2 crores), Gabbar Is Back (59.6 crores) and Baby (63.2 crores). The movie is all set to become the highest opening week grosser for Akshay Kumar beating Singh Is Bliing (77.6 crores), Rowdy Rathore (78.5 crores) and Brothers (72.6 crores).

As predicted by us earlier, the movie is on the way to become the fourth 100 crores grosser for Akshay Kumar. ‘Airlift’ will surely be Akshay Kumar’s fastest 100 crores grosser beating after Holiday (15 days), Rowdy Rathore (11 days) and Housefull 2 (17 days).

As there is no big competition at Box Office till the release of ‘Ghayal Once Again’ on 5 Feb 2016, ‘Airlift‘ will continue to dominate the Box Office for next two weeks and may emerge as Akshay Kumar’s biggest hit.

Airlift stars Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur and Purab Kohli in lead roles. The movie is based on a real-life event of world’s biggest human evacuation in 1990 when Iraq invades Kuwait.
