There has been a lot of talks about the third instalment of Aashiqui 3. The super success of Aashiqui 2 has prompted makers to make the third part. There have been reports about Hrithik and Sonam being cast to play leads in the movie. Then there were reports of Alia and Sidharth being signed for the movie.
Now there is a new update on Alia’s character in the film. Director Mohit Suri recently confirmed it officially during a media interaction.
Mohit said, “Since it is a part of the Aashiqui franchise, Alia will play a singer.” Mohit who is currently busy shooting for Half Girlfriend is yet to decide when will he start the shoot for Aashiqui 3, but he has confirmed that Shaheen Bhatt (Alia’s sister) is penning down the script of the film.
Aashiqui 3 will be Alia’s third film with Sidharth Malhotra after Student of the Year and Kapoor & Sons. Interestingly, the last two instalments of Aashiqui had new faces- Rahul Roy-Anu Agarwal in Aashiqui (1990), Shraddha Kapoor-Aditya Roy Kapur (2013).
The makers of the movie have planned to raise the budget and scale this time around. Moreover, with rumoured love-birds, Alia and Sidharth being cast, Aashiqui 3 is grabbing lots of news.
