Aamir Khan’s Dangal is unstoppable at the Chinese box office. The movie is all set to cross 2000 crores worldwide.
The grand success of Dangal has once again proved that Aamir Khan is the king of the overseas box office. Even after 40 days of its release in China, Dangal is having a good time at the Chinese box office. Till Tuesday (40th day), the movie has earned whopping $181 million (1165 crores) in China. The biggest Bollywood blockbuster is now looking to cross 1200 crores on China.
The worldwide box office collection of the movie stands at massive 1947 crores. Dangal has good chance to become the first 2000 crore worldwide grosser of Indian cinema. Let’s have a look at the collection break-down:
Gross collection in India: 540 crores
Total collection in China: 1165 crores
Total collection in Taiwan: 40 crores
Total collection in other overseas countries: 202 crores
With the collection of 1947 crores, Dangal is currently the highest grossing Indian movie at the worldwide box office. It is followed by Bahubali 2 which has till now earned around 1690 crores worldwide. With the release of Bahubali 2 in China in July, the collection gap between the two movies will narrow down.
The huge success of Dangal is China has certainly opened a new market for Indian movies. Indian producers are expected to cache this scenario. We can expect more and more Indian movies to get a big release in China in coming days.
Talking about Aamir Khan, the actors has started working on his next project title Thugs Of Hindostan. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie will hit the theatres on Diwali 2018.
