Deepika Padukone has been quite successful in creating an identity of her own in Bollywood and now in Hollywood as well. She is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to signing the best movies that she comes across. But no human is perfect and we tend to make mistakes every now and then. Listed below are 5 movies rejected by Deepika Padukone that would have turned out a lot differently had she been a part of them-
1. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Deepika Padukone has always expressed her desire of working with Salman Khan, one of the biggest Khan of the Indian film industry. But when the opportunity striked and she was offered the lead role in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opposite none other than Salman, she turned it down. This role then went into Sonam Kapoor’s lap. Deepika even rejected an item song from Salman’s other movie ‘Kick’ which went into Jacqueline Fernandez’s hands. PRDP had quite a successful run at the box-office and the item song from Kick did well too.
2. Dhoom 3
Deepika Padukone was offered the role of the leading lady in the third sequel of Dhoom series but she did not accept this one either. It seems like Deepika only chooses to work with Shah Rukh Khan among all the other Khans. The role was eventually landed by Katrina Kaif. Though we are not too sad about Deepika’s decision, as Katrina’s role was not able to garner much attention.
3. Fast & Furious 7
This one is a little hard to believe given that Deepika made her Hollywood debut not too long ago in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage that also had Vin Diesel in the lead role. When the seventh part of Fast & Furious was offered to Deepika, she turned it down and choose to do Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela: Goliyon ki Rasleela instead.
4. Jab Tak Hai Jaan
Deepika Padukone proved yet again that she is not one of those ladies that runs behind roles with the well-known Khans in the lead. Though she missed out on the chance of working in the last movies directed by Yash Chopra. That would have been a golden opportunity for her. Ultimately, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were the final leads.
Deepika was given yet another opportunity to work with Salman Khan when she was offered the role of Aarfa by Ali Abbas Zafar. But yet again, she refused the movie some unknown reasons. Sultan was another huge success on the box-office in every sense.
So what do you think?
