2.0 New Release Date: the clash between Akshay Kumar’s Padman and Rajnikanth’s 2.0 has been averted. 2.0 gets a new release date.
Yesterday only we informed you that the release release date of Akshay Kumar’s Padman has been preponed to 26 Jan 2018. Akshay himself took to twitter the announce the release date of the movie along with the poster. Akshay Kumar fans were in frenzy as his most ambitious project, 2.0 was scheduled to release on 25 Jan 2018. It seemed that two Akshay Kumar films will release on the same day.
Fans on social media went crazy and started discussing about the box office fate of both films. Some were of the opinion that 2.0 will crash Padman while others claimed that both films will work as they belong to varied genres.
Well, there is no need to discuss now as the release date of 2.0 has been postponed. As per the reports coming, 2.0 will now release of 13 April 2017, a day prior to Tamil new year. The reason for this delay is the VFX work which is taking a hell lot of time. This is the second time 2.0 has been postponed owing to VFX work. The movie earlier slated for release on Diwali 2017 along with Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar.
The clash between 2.0 and Padman has been averted and Akshay Kumar fans can take a sigh of relief now. Though, they have to wait longer for 2.0, the scenario is still better than a clash.
2.0 is a sequel to blockbuster Robot which was released on 2010. Robot starred Rajni and Aishwarya Rai. The Hindi version of the first instalment was not a big hit but the expectations are huge this time around. With inclusion of Akshay Kumar, 2.0 looks big now. 2.0 is the most expensive movie of Indian cinema, estimated to be made on a budget of 400 crores.
