18 years ago, Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan along with Akshay Khanna weaved magic on the silver screen with their epic cult movie on friendship – Dil Chahta Hai. 18 years – down the line, Dil Chahta Hai still stands as one of the best movies of Bollywood. However, it’s been 18 years, the fans got to see Aamir and Saif together on the silver screen.
But a report by the grapevine suggests that they are both collaborating for another project and fans are as excited as they can be.
As per a report by Filmfare, the duo has been roped in for the Hindi remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’. The movie is being titled as ‘Vikram Veda’. The original movie starred Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role and R Madhavan in the role of a cop.
The remake version will see Saif playing the role of a good cop, that was played by R. Madhavan whereas Aamir Khan will be seen in a negative role, which was played by Vijay Sethupati.
It is being said that the movie will be directed by Gayatri Pushkar, who is the director of the original movie as well; and is being produced by Neeraj Pandey. The shooting of the movie is expected to start next year.
Talking more about their work front, Aamir Khan is prepping up to shoot Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, where he will be playing the role of Laal Singh Chaddha.
On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of next season of Sacred Games. Saif is also busy in shooting for his upcoming movie Jawaani Jaaneman.
