Wants to Play in millions, Why not make a south remake: Almost 90%  of the Bollywood’s 100 crore grosser are either a blind copy of the South Indian movies or have adopted the South Indian treatment. Be it Bodyguard, Singham, Ghajini, Ready, Rowdy Rathode, all these are blindly copied frame by frame. Majority of Indian movie viewers wants full of masala, full of action, senseless  movies and south remakes provides enough serving for them.

Ghajini: Remake of 2005 Tamil super hit of same name  starring Tamil superstar Suriya and Asin, the later was

the part of remake as well. Made with the budget of 40 crore, Ghajini has box office collection of 190+ crore.
Ready: Remake of 2008 Telugu  hit of same name  starring Ram and Genelia D souza. Made with the budget of 40 crore,   Ready has box office collection of 184+ crore.

Singham: Remake of 2010 Tamil  hit of same name starring Suriya and Anushka Shetty. Made with the budget of 20 crore , Singham has box office collection of 140+ crore.

Bodyguard : Remake of 2010 Malayalam  hit of the same name starring Dileep and Nayanthara. Made with the budget of around 45 crore,   Bodyguard has box office collection of 184+ crore.

Rowdy Rathod: Remake of Telugu  hit Vikramakudu starring Ravi Teja and Anushka Shetty . Made with the budget of 40 crore   Ready has box office collection of 150+ crore and still counting.

Your laughs and smiles are very costly, atleast for the Indian filmakers: Indian filmmakers realize that to pull large audiences to  theatres, they need to make movie for masses, and comedies are the one  they can rely upon. Most of the 100+ crore grosser are either full-time comedies like Ready, Golmaal 3, Housefull 2 or they have a sufficient amount of laughter bombs in them.

Latkas, jhatkas and fatkas: Latkas, jhatkas and fatkas have always been an integral part of the bollywood films and even today Indian movie viewers are highly attracted to hard-hitting action scenes, item songs.
Items songs and Madras style action scenes is the new success mantra in Bollywood. Almost every 100+ crore grosser have one, other or both of these ingredients in it.

Superstars do matter in present scenario of Bollywood, and its a must to have one to cross this magic figure. Salman has highest 100+ crore grossers with 3 followed by Sharukh, Aamir, Akshay and Ajay all having 2. Hrithik is also in this league now with Agneepath.

There are some which truly deserve this magic figure: Most of the 100+ crore grossers are senseless and lacks quality, content, orignality  but still there are some which truly deserve this magic figure. 3 idiots, Agneepath, Don2, Dabangg are really the ones.

With Ek tha tiger, Barfee and Yeh kahan aa gye hum coming up lets hope Indian filmmakers have some other ingredients in 100+ crore grossers.­
