Welcome Back starring Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, John Abraham was released on 4 Sep 2015. After three weeks of decent run at Box Office, the movie is out of most theaters and is expected to wrap its Box Office journey by the end of this week. After a superb opening week with the collection of 74 crores, the movie wasn’t really able to make it big in second and third week. Welcome Back collected only 22 crores in its second and third week thus taking its lifetime collection to 96 crores. Let’s have a look at the total lifetime collection/cost/revenue and Box Office verdict of the movie.

Eros Now acquired the rights of Welcome Back and Hera Pheri 3 for 130 crores. Considering 65 crores for Welcome Back.

For Producers (Profit/Loss)
Production Cost: 80 Crores
Sold to Eros: 65 crores
Music Rights: 3 crores
Satellite rights: 25 crores (Expected)
Total Profit/Loss for producers: (Production Cost) – (Recovery) = 80 – (65 +3 + 25) = -13 crores (Profit of 13 crores).

For Disributors(Profit/Loss)
Distributor share (All India release): 50% ( 48 crores)
Distributor share (Overseas): 50% (11.5 crores)
Amount spent on advertising and promotion: 20 crores
Acquisition cost: 65 crores
Home video rights: 2 crore
Total Recovery: 48 + 11.5 + 2 = 61.5 crores
Total Cost for distributors = Acquisition cost + Promotion/Advertising cost = 65 + 15 = 80 crores
Total Profit/Loss for distributors: (Total Cost) – (Recovery) = 80 – (61.5) = 18.5 crores (Loss of 18.5 crores).

Total collection: 96 crores + 23 crores = 119 crores
Total gross collection:  128 crores + 23 crores = 151 crores
