Bejoy Nambiar unhappy with the Censor board’s functionale pertaining to ‘Wazir’
Wazir’s fraternity doesn’t seem to be in a good mood. Quite obvious as it seems because there are rumours for some conflicts for Wazir from the censor board, and the release date closing in.
Wazir is a much-awaited movie for Farhan Akhtar’s fan club and since the trailers and songs are released the curiosity rises even higher. The audience is also waiting to see ‘much talked about’ chemistry of Farhan-Aditi. No matter how distinct is the story or the casting, some films get to catch controversy much easier than flu in winters and Wazir is facing similar challenge (positive if I presume publicity on the other side).
As reported, when asked about Nambiar’s views on the strictness of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), he said, “Some ridiculous things are happening in the censor board. I think it’s high time we take a uniform decision about what kind of content we should be allowed to watch.”
He also added, “If this kind of discussion is consistently happening (what and what not to allow), it means there is definitely a problem which has not happened earlier. It’s high time we get a certificate rating like we have in the west.”
The release date is fast approaching and in the controversies rolling, the audience sits back patiently until the movie hits the screen to decide its fate. Farhan Akhtar has been a very promising actor while Aditi Rao Hydari has already proved her mettle in her previous flicks so we look forward far beyond these incidents for something worth watching.
