Watch: Aamir Khan’s amazing transformation from fat to fit for Dangal

Aamir Khan is called Perfectionist for a reason. Just when we thought, Aamir wouldn’t surprise us anymore, the ‘PK’ actor released a video on his social media account which shows his intense training and had work from his ‘fat to fit’ avatar!

If you have watched the trailer of ‘Dangal’, you must have seen that Aamir Khan portrays the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat – a wrestler who goes through many physical transformations in the film from a young wrestler to a fat old man. Normally in such cases, actors would prefer to play the role of young fit wrestler first and then gain weight to play the role of old, overweight man. However, Aamir Khan that he is who loves challenges clearly told his director Nitesh Tiwari that he would first shoot the role of overweight old man and then reduce his weight to play the role of fit, young wrestler. Therefore, Aamir increased his weight to 96 kgs and then lose 28kgs to have his six packs wrestler look!

Talking about his transformation, Aamir explains, “Though I went through body building to get a certain look for my film, Dangal one was one of the most dramatic body transformations so far. The film has two phases. For one part, I had to put on weight. So, I weighed 96 kgs with 38 percent body fat and that I had to reduce to 9 percent body fat within five months. That was a huge task.”

Aamir went on to warn his fans not to try losing and gaining weight like him as it is extremely unhealthy to the body. “I would like to mention that putting on weight and losing it so fast is very unhealthy. I did it for my film under the supervision of experts, but it is very unhealthy for any regular person” warns Aamir.
