The much-awaited video of the song ‘Deewani Mastani’ from Bajirao Mastani is here.
The song was launched in Delhi on Saturday, during which Deepika Padukone said, “The song is inspired by ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ in a sense. We have tried to recreate the Aina mahal. But it’s also a Sanjay Leela Bhansali take on a contemporary version of the song where Mastani is completely besotted and madly in love with Bajirao. It’s almost nasheela. It doesn’t matter to her where she is or who is watching her. She is like a horse with blinkers. She has eyes for no one else but this one man who is sitting in front of her. She is intoxicated by love.”
The song has been shot in Aina Mahal, which is also said to be the second most expensive set after ‘Mughal-e-Azam’. The set took over 45 days to be constructed and had the maximum number of visitors on the sets.
The song featured Deepika as Mastani, Ranveer Singh as Bajirao and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai. Deepika looks absolutely stunning in the video. We also catch a few glimpses of Priyanka and Ranveer looks so royal.
The film is set to release on 25 December, along with Shahrukh- Kajol’s Dilwale and Here’s what Deepika has to say about the clash.
