Two movies from different genres Ungli and Zid will be locking horns tomorrow at Box Office. Ungli on one hand is backed up by Karan Johar’s Dharma productions while Zid is produced by Anubhav Sinha productions.
Ungli has been in news for a long time now. The movie has more than a decent starcast with big names like Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt and Randeep Hooda which makes it a multi-starer affair. The real problem with Ungli is that despite being backed up by one of the biggest Bollywood franchise the promotions hasn’t been good. The movie has been delayed for more than a year now and it looks like the audience has lost interest in the movie. The songs and Trailer hasn’t been that good and the buzz surrounding the movie is also low. It all means that the movie would rely on content. If the content is good than Ungli could be one of the big hits of 2014.
Ungli is expected to release on around 1500 screens across the country. The movie is expected to have a low opening at Box Office with first day collection around 3 crores.
Coming to the other release of the week – Zid. Zid is a bold and erotic musical thriller staring Karanvir Sharma, Manaara and Sharaddha Das. The movie is directed Vivek Agnihotri who has earlier directed thrillers like Chocolate and Hate Story.
The movie has created enough buzz thanks to its hot and steamy trailer. The movie is projected for single screen audience and could surprise at Box Office. The songs and trailer has been well received and it could turn up a decent debut for Karanvir Sharma and Mannara.
Zid is expected to release on around 1000 screens across the country. The movie is expected to have a decent opening at Box Office with first day collection around 3 crores.
