Top 10 Highest Grossing Bollywood Movies In Overseas: Before we talk more about the overseas list, I would like to declare the judging parameter for this list. The list is based entirely on the collections made by Bollywood movies at Box Office in the overseas market, excluding Indian market.
With a collection of $228,012,603 Aamir Khan’s Dangal is the top overseas grosser of Bollywood. Dangal earned huge in Chinese market to post such impeccable numbers. Dangal is followed by Aamir Khan’s two more movies, PK ($47,200,000) Dhoom 3 ($31,000,000). Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan which crossed $29,000,000 at the overseas Box Office is at the fourth position.
Moving down the list, Dilwale ($26,680,000) is at the 5th position closely followed by Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots ($26,000,000). Sultan is at the 7th position with the collection of $24,380,000. The next three positions are occupied by the king of overseas Shahrukh Khan with My Name is Khan, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

Talking about the actors, Aamir Khan acquires the top 3 position in the list with his movies, Dangal, PK and Dhoom 3. Shah Rukh Khan has four movies in top 10 while Salman Khan has only two.
Shah Rukh Khan has maximum hits in overseas. Out of top 50 overseas grossers, 16 belongs to SRK. He is a legend of sort as far as overseas box office is concerned.
Talking about the actresses, the list is dominated by Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Kajol and Kareena with two movies each in top 10 followed by Katrina who has one movie.
According to me, Aamir Khan is the true overseas Box Office king as top 3 positions in the list are occupied by his movies. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan follows him. It is SRK, because he is known not only in migrant circles and communitie, but also international (Germans, Austrian, Swizzerland-People, French, Netherland-People, Polish and many others know him and his films. 3 Idiots and PK are indian or subcontinental problems, in Europe these problems (religions for instance) are not interesting. Nobody knows the films of Amir and the name of Amir Khan outside of the subcontinental and muslim communities. Lagaan was international, but is forgotten today. But Shah Rukh Khan is known very well outside and international, he made a film in Berlin, showed his films at the Berlinale, has doctor h.c.-degrade of two european universities, is member of Yale and so on. A lot of Germans like me saw Dilwale and all the other films of SRK not only one time.
