We informed you earlier how Amit Sadh will be playing younger Salman Khan in Sultan. It turns out that Ayushmann Khurrana was the first choice for the role!
Yes, the makers of Sultan wanted Ayushmann Khurrana to play the younger version of Salman Khan but the role dropped into the lap of Amit Sadh. How did it happen? An insider close to the film revealed that when Amit auditioned for the role, the makers were impressed with him. They felt he will fit the bill, and they instantly decided to sign him.
According to a report of Mid-Day, while the makers were keen to rope in Ayushmann, he did not consider the offer. Before Amit was auditioned, Aditya had a discussion with Ayushmann, asking him to be a part of the project. But Ayushmann felt he would be overshadowed by Salman and therefore, avoided doing the film. The makers feel that it is not smart of Ayushmann Khurrana to fear about being overshadowed by Salman.
“Salman is obviously a much bigger star.”
When Amit Sadh was inquired about the movie, he said, “I am not allowed to talk about it. They (producers) will talk about it at the right time.” While Ayushmann’s spokesperson said, “As a policy, we do not ever comment on projects unless we are committed to it.”
Who do you think would have looked better as a younger Salman- Ayushmann or Amit?
