Akshay Kumar’s Padman has already gone on the floors and you will be surprised to know that the theatrical rights of Padman have already been sold!
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have come together for a movie after a long time but not as co-actors but as actor-producer for Padman. The movie is based on the true story of the inventor of a low-cost sanitary pad making machine in India and it is an adaptation of Twinkle Khanna’s own novel on Arunachalam Muruganantham. The most exciting news about the movie is that the theatrical rights of Padman are already taken!
According to a report of DNA India, after having seen a few sequences of the movie, Sony has approached the makers of the movie for the film’s rights as they were highly impressed with the outcome. From what is being reported, the distribution and theatrical rights have been sold for a huge number, the exact amount not known yet.
Directed by R. Balki, Padman will also feature Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release on Republic Day weekend in 2018 and we are very excited for the movie.

Padman, a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham, famously known as the India’s Menstruation Man, releases next year on Republic Day weekend and is being shot with Akshay and Radhika in Madhya Pradesh. Sonam joins the cast this month.
