Salman Khan’s last year blockbuster movie Sultan won the best action movie award at Shanghai International Film Festival.

Salman Khan’s Sultan was awarded the best action movie award at the gala night of the Jackie Chan Action Movie Week, which was held as part of the Shanghai International Film Festival. The award was presented by none other than Jackie Chan himself.

The market of Indian films is growing at a rapid pace in China. After Aamir Khan’s Dangal incredible performance in the country, this prestigious award comes as big reward for the Indian film industry.

Sultan was loved by the critics as moviegoers. It was the second highest grossing movie of 2016 with the lifetime collection of 301 crores. The makers Yash Raj films are now gearing up for film’s China release. Sports-based films have a huge market in China and Sultan is expected to wonders in the country.

Salman is currently busy with his latest movie Tubelight. It was released yesterday but couldn’t get an expected opening. Salman’s next is Tiger Zinda Hai, a sequel to 2012 blockbuster movie Ek Tha Tiger.
