This Diwali will be the first Diwali for Newlyweds Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput together!
And it is not going to be a small event! The couple is going to host an intimate get-together for their close friends and family tomorrow night at their Juhu apartment. Mira’s family from Delhi is also expected to join them as will Shahid’s mother Neelima Azim and his younger brother Ishaan Khattar, father Pankaj Kapur with wife Supriya Pathak and their two children.
Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput have just returned from a brief vacation in Sri Lanka on Sunday. They have been calling up their friends and families to invite them over for the Grand Bash!
Shahid’s mother Neelima confirmed the news saying, “This Diwali, like our usual ones, we will be lighting diyas, visiting each other’s homes and exchanging gifts. Diwali for us, is special family time. Shahid and Mira will come over during the day and will have a party on Diwali night which will be attended by close friends and family. Usually, we divide the parties between grown-ups and youngsters, but not this year. After some time, the grown-ups will take off and the youngsters will be left alone.” When asked how this will be her first Diwali with daughter-in-law, she said “Yes. I’ll give her a gift too. But it’s not just on Diwali. I always give something or the other to Mira.”
The proud saas has nothing but praises for Mira, “She’s a nice down-to-earth and grounded girl who has given us a lot of love. Mira is very relaxed and natural and now a part of the family. Ishaan calls her Barbie Doll and she loves it.”
What a lovely Mother-in-law!
