Shah Rukh and Salman both are my good friends says Bhansali!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to be a less talkative person but he recently opened about his relationships with the two Khans of Bollywood- Shah Rukh and Salman.

While talking to Mumbai Mirror about the big clash between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, he clarified a lot of things. He admitted that they had announced their release day when they had started the Bajirao Mastani project but after Shah Rukh Khan announced the same date for Dilwale‘s release, there was a discussion on how to avoid the clash; but both wanted the same Friday, to which later both the parties agreed. He further said, “They are two different films and I wish both do well. Shah Rukh is a dear friend, I am in touch with him more than any other actor. I know the intention is not to compete with or destroy us. This is no election campaign.”

He was probed on about how he his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani has been delayed for over a decade and how he wanted Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be in the movie. This is what he had to say-

“Yes, I had wanted Salman but things didn’t work out. We share a great bond and I know his good wishes are with me. I may not be working with him but I am indebted to Salman for all that he’s done for me. If there’s any reason for him to be upset, it has to do with me and not him. I’ve got so much love from my actors, including Aishwarya and Shah Rukh. Salman, Aishwarya and Rani have paved way for Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka Chopra.”
