Shaandaar 3rd Day Collection | First Saturday Box Office Report

Shaandaar 3rd Day Collection | First Saturday Box Office Report
Shahid in Shaandaar

Shaandaar 3rd Day Collection – No growth for Shaandaar on Saturday. The movie collected around 7.5 crores on its third day at Box Office.

Shaandaar continued to struggle at the domestic Box Office, thanks to the negative WOM it is receiving from the first day itself. After a decent opening day with the collection of 13.1 crores, Shaandaar crashed on its second day collecting only 7.55 crores. The movie was expected to show some growth on Saturday, but that didn’t happen. In fact, the reports from some parts of the country were even poor than Friday. As per early estimates, the movie collected around 7.5 crores on its 3rd day at the Indian Box Office.

Though the reviews are mostly good, the WOM from the public is highly negative which will surely hamper the performance at the Box Office on coming days.

Shaandaar Box Office collection | Day-Wise update

Shaandaar 1st Day Collection – 13.1 Crores (6th Highest of 2015)
Shaandaar 2nd Day Collection – 7.55 Crores
Shaandaar 3rd Day Collection – 7.2 Crores
Shaandaar Total Collection – 27.85 Crores  (Till 3rd day)

Shaandaar is mainly targeted to the multiplex audience. Single screens and mass centers are expected to be on a lower side, but the real problem is that the movie is struggling at multiplexes also.

Shaandaar was expected to have a 50+ crores extended weekend but considering the current trend even 40 crores looks a daunting task. The movie needs a dramatic turnaround on Sunday (4th day) to change its fortunes which look highly unexpected.

The total budget of Shaandaar is 75 crores including the promotion and marketing cost. The movie has only Sunday left to garner as much money as possible. The movie will find it difficult from Monday as Pre Diwali phase start which is generally not considered a good phase for Bollywood. As per my expectations, Shaandaar will continue to struggle and may wrap up its Box Office journey within its first week. The movie is expected to be a flop with the lifetime collection of around 50 crores.

Records created by Shaandaar

1) Highest Shahid Kapoor Opener beating R..Rajkumar.
2) Highest Alia Bhatt Opener beating 2 States.
3) Sixth highest opener of 2015.

  1. The movie was a lot of fun. I don’t understand how it can flop. The movie does not have the typical masala the Indian audience expects but it is a beautiful movie with distinctive direction and cinematography. Maybe it is a little ahead of its time. Would have been a super hit if released in 2020. I like it and would recommend watching.
