Saturday Box Office Report: Sunny Leone’s ‘Mastizaade’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ remains stable on Saturday at the domestic Box Office.
Sunny Leone, Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor starrer adult comedy Mastizaade despite receiving negative reviews from critics, is holding well at the domestic Box Office. After a decent opening day with the collection of 5.59 crores, the movie witnessed a growth of around 10% on Saturday and collected 6.11 crores. The movie now stands at the total collection of 11.7 crores which is a good figure for an adult comedy considering its competition with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ and R. Madhavan’s ‘Saala Khadoos’. The movie is expected to grow further today. The budget of the movie is on a lower end and even the lifetime collection of 25 crores will take the movie to a profitable zone.
Talking about the other release of the week, Saala Khadoos, the movie remains low after a poor start. The total collection of the movie by the end of two days is around 3 crores.
Akshay Kumar’s last week release ‘Airlift‘ is still going strong at the Box Office. After a superb opening week with the collection of 83.5 crores, the movie holds well on second Friday and Saturday with the collection of 4.5 crores and 6.5 crores respectively. Airlift now stands at the total collection of 94.5 crores and is expected to enter the elite 100 crore club today. The movie will be the fastest 100 crores grosser for Akshay Kumar.
