Salman Khan tensed over Hit and Run Case Verdict

Today is the day of final verdict in Salman Khan Hit-and-Run Case!

The Bombay High Court is scheduled to deliver it’s final verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case against Salman Khan. Earlier, the lower court gave a sentence of five years imprisonment to the actor. In May 2015, Salman Khan went to the high court urging the dismissal of his 5-year jail term given by the lower court.

Salman Khan Hit-and-Run Case accused him of consuming liquor at ‘Rain Bar and Restaurant’ at Vile Parle before ramming his Toyota Lexus car into a shop at suburban Bandra on Sept 28, 2002. One person died and four were injured in the incident. According to the prosecution, at the time of the incident three people were in the car- Salman, singer Kamaal Khan, and Salman’s bodyguard Ravindra Patil, who passed away during the trial in 2007.

But defense claimed that it was Salman’s driver Ashok Singh who driving the car and not Salman. The High Court, however, refused to summon Kamaal Khan for further questioning on this matter.

The Bombay High Court had already started reading the verdict on Monday and will complete its judgment by today. So, if the judgment by the high court goes against Salman then he may go to jail today.
