The surprise for his fans didn’t turned out fruitful and became a nightmare for Salman Khan himself when the 65 years old “Khan Market Association” of Delhi raised their voice in disagreement against the similar name used for his web portal “KhanMarketOnline.com”. As reported, Sanjiv Mehra, Khan Market Association president has decided to file a case against the actor.
Later, the news came popping in yesterday that Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Sunday asked actor Salman Khan to withdraw the name ‘Khan market’ from his shopping portal to protect the brand name of the national capital’s upscale market
As reported, the CAIT:
“A name by custom/practice/usage over a long period of time by a group of persons becomes an intellectual property right of that group of persons is an integral part of principle of natural justice. Accordingly, the first lien of using the name “Khan Market” lies with traders of Khan Market only” : The Hindu
Salman Khan these days is busy with the shoots for his upcoming movie “Sultan” in conjugation with the popular Indian reality TV show “Big Boss: Season 9” and this element of controversy has hit him with surprise which came out of nowhere near expectation. As per the report, the name “KhanMarketOnline” needs to be dissolved so Salman needs to get his website out of the jam maybe by braining out some other name. Until all this is sorted legally we await the new name for “KhanMarketOnline“
