Nikhil Advani’s Bazaar will feature Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles.
After Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar turned down Nikhil Advani’s Bazaar, Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor are all set to be a part of the movie. Nkhil’s last two projects Hero and Katti Batti were not very successful at the Box-Office, so expectations from Bazaar are very high.
Nikhil Advani has talked about the movie being in the lines of Amitabh Bachchan-Sanjeev Kumar’s Trishul. He had said “Bazaar’ is a story of Mumbai. It’s a film which likens to a ‘Trishul’. But the backdrop is business and share bazaar. It’s about the city because intoxication of the city drives me crazy. I can’t understand why people come into the city and live on sewage, really we’re living on sewage. There is no infrastructure. Yet people stay back and stay for long which sparks an instant fire in you. So, ‘Bazaar’ is a story of two men, one who’s made it and one who’s trying to make it, how they come together and what they do.”
The casting of Bazaar had a lot of ups and downs but according to the report of a leading daily, there’s an emotional attachment to Nikhil Advani’s Bazaar, featuring Saif Ali Khan. Arjun was an assistant director to Nikhil on Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq. Bazaar is about the share market like Wall Street where Saif plays the billionaire tycoon and Arjun works under him as his apprentice.
