Roy First Week Box Office Collection: Roy has an average opening week with the collection of around 42 crores.
Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez starer romantic thriller Roy was released last Friday along with MSG -Messenger of God. As predicted by us, the movie got off to a decent start at domestic Box Office. We predicted that the movie would collect around 8 to 10 crores on opening day.
Roy has a decent opening weekend at domestic Box Office. Despite receiving poor reviews from critics and audience, the movie showed a decent growth on its second day (Saturday). The collection on the second day saw growth because of Valentine Day Holiday and Ranbir Kapoor’s fan following. Roy collected 11.16 crores on its second day at Box Office.
From Monday, the movie saw a big drop in collections. The movie collected only 3.65 crores on first Monday which further dropped on weekdays. The performance has been good in metros and multiplexes. Most of the Box Office revenue came from Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai multiplexes.
Roy was one of the most anticipated movies of 2015 because of the presence of Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir was last seen in Besharam, which was released in Oct 2013. Ranbir Kapoor fans were eagerly waiting for the movie release and it seems a driving factor for big opening at Box Office. Super hit songs and Valentine fever also provided a boost to the first two days collection.
