Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film Mauli will feature Salman Khan!

Riteish Deshmukh’s second Marathi film Mauli will also feature Sallu Bhai.

With Genelia Deshmukh as the producer and Nishikant Kamat as the director, Riteish Deshmukh gave a superhit milestone Marathi movie ‘Lai Bhari’ in 2014. Now his character Mauli in the movie is set to make a comeback in a movie of his own. The Marathi film Mauli, to be helmed by Nishikant Kamat again, will also feature Salman Khan in a cameo role.

Riteish Deshmukh, who will continue to play the lead character Mauli, confirmed the news to a leading daily. He said “A character is being carved out for Salman in his next since the latter has shown a keen interest in working for Marathi cinema.” Salman Khan even made a friendly appearance in Lal Bhari, where he was seen exchanging a hilarious conversation with Riteish. Recently, he even appeared on a Marathi TV show ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ making it quite clear that Salman’s Marathi diction is quite good. It’s quite clear that Salman is keen on being a part of the Marathi cinema.

The film is expected to release in theatres in 2016. However, more details about the movie are yet to be shared by the makers.
