At times when superstars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are failing to get the love of the audience, a small-budget film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is all set to test the waters on September 1. Here are the major reasons to watch Shubh Mangal Saavdhan this weekend-
Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar first teamed for the sleeper hit Dum Laga Ke Haisha. They both shared an amazing chemistry in the movie and we loved every single of the movie. In Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, they seem to be taking their chemistry to a whole new level. Their superb pair definitely tops the list of reasons to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which may just to another Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
2. Bhumi Pednekar’s new avatar
This will be Bhumi’s third Bollywood film and we saw her recently in Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. With her amazing performance, she proved yet again that she is here to stay and she a lot more to us. Other than her acting, one thing that caught our eye was her superb transformation from an overweight girl to a slim-trim girl. We simply cannot get enough of Bhumi and would love to see more in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
3. Hatke Story
Ayushmann has always been known to bring the most unique of stories into the big screens like Vicky Donor. Once again, he has teamed up with Bhumi to portray the story of a man who suffers from erectile dysfunction. The trailer introduced us to this hushed up topic in a rather hilarious way and we love it when Bollywood makes movies with a deeper message.
4. South-Indian remake
Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is the remake of hit Tamil rom-com Kalyana Samayal Saadham, which revolved around a couple who are coming to terms with the husband’s erectile dysfunction. R.S. Prasanna directed the original movie and he is also helming the Hindi remake, while Anand L. Rai will be producing the film.
