Rangoon has not been able to attract the viewers and get them running into the theaters, despite the hype that surrounded the movie. The movie opened up rather badly, was not able to grow and has not even been able to hold up for a whole week. After running for a whole new week, Rangoon has collected a total amount of just 22 crore in the first week. This amount is almost the same as the total collection of Bombay Velvet, which collected something around 22 crore and a little better than Fitoor, which came up to a total of 18 crore.
The movie’s failure did not go down well with Shahid Kapoor and he expressed his feelings on Twitter.
