Ranbir Kapoor’s Top Opening Day Grossers: Animal tops the list, Brahmastra and Sanju follows.
Ranbir Kapoor’s much-anticipated action drama Animal has taken a bumper opening at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directional has exceeded all expectations and has recorded one of the biggest openings ever. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Animal’s first-day box office numbers on his X account.

The Hindi version of the movie collected Rs 54.75 Crore on its opening day. It is the third-highest opening for a Bollywood movie (Hindi) after Pathaan (Rs 55 Crore) and Jawan (Rs 65.5 Crore). With Rs 9.05 Crore coming from South Indian languages, the total opening day collection of Animal is Rs 68.8 Crore (Nett.). These are the second-highest opening day numbers registered by a Bollywood movie in India after Jawan (Rs 75 Crore).
List of Ranbir Kapoor’s Top 10 Box Office Openers
Animal is now the biggest opening day grosser for Ranbir Kapoor by a huge margin. Brahmastra takes the second position in the list with collections of Rs 38 Crore (approx.) on Day 1. Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt, Sanju is Ranbir Kapoor’s is Ranbir’s third-highest opener with Rs 34.73 Crore on its opening day. Sanju is followed by Besharam. It earned Rs 21.56 Crore on its first day.
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer romantic drama Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani takes the fourth spot on the list with an opening of Rs 19.45 Crore. Tu Jhooti Main Makkar is now Ranbir’s fifth-highest opener.
Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is in the sixth position with opening day earnings of Rs 13.30 Crore. Tamasha, Rockstar, Raajneeti, and Shamshera collected more than Rs 10 Crore on their opening day.
