Ranbir Kapoor to play thief in Roy. After playing lover boy in most of his previous movies, its time to change for Ranbir Kapoor. The actor has signed a movie called Roy in which he will be playing a title role of a thief. Arjun Rampal will also be seen essaying an important role of a filmmaker in this film. The film is to be produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by debutant Vicky Singh(assistant director for Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya). Jacqueline Fernandes will play the first leading lady opposite Ranbir whilst the second leading lady is yet to be finalized. Arjun Rampal is also roped in for an important role.
‘Roy’ is expected to go on floors after Ranbir wraps up the shooting for Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam in which, incidentally, he plays the role of a car thief.
