Queen, Gulaab Gang and Total Siyapaa Box Office First Day Occupancy

Gulaab Gang, Queen and Total Siyapaa failed on Day 1 at Box Office

It was the biggest Bollywood Friday of 2014 with three star-packed movies released but as predicted by us yesterday none of the release was able to make any considerable mark at Box Office. We have earlier predicted (Queen, Gulaab Gang and Total Siyappa Box Office Predictions) that none of these releases would be able to make it big at the Box Office on the opening day.

As per our predictions all there releases saw poor occupancy on opening day at Box Office. Even Gulaab Gang which is one of the most anticipated release of 2014 bumped with poor occupancy of 5% to 8% in the morning shows.

As per the early reports Gulaab Gang has a slight advantage over other two releases Queen and Total Siyapaa.

Gulaab Gang was released on 1100 screens with good buzz surrounding its release date and other controversies. But Gulaab Gang fails to make any impression on critics and audience.

Queen, though has a poor start but the movie can make it big in the coming days. It has a tremendous word of mouth from critics, audiences as well as film fraternity. Vikas Behl direction and Kangana Ranaut’s acting has been praised by one and all.  Kangana as punjabi girl has delivered the performance of the lifetime. Queen showed an occupancy of around 20-25 % at box office on day one.

Total Siyappa on the other hand proved a total siyappa for the filmmakers. Released on around 1600 screens, the movie fails to deliver as per expectations. More over, the complete rejection by critics for Total Siyapaa also worked against the movie.

Other Factor that led to low box office occupancy rate on first day :-

Release of 300 : The Rise of Empire has also restrained the growth of the three Bollywood releases. Although the start has been poor, all the three releases are expected to rise in the coming days.
