Prem Ratan Dhan Payo may have outshined Dhoom 3‘s first day at the box office with 40 crores in hand, but Dhoom 3 had a very long run at the domestic Box Office. The movie dominated the Box Office for almost three weeks and ended up with the lifetime collection of 280 crores.
Both the movies managed to cross the 100 crores mark on their 3rd day at Box Office, but as we can see from Dhoom 3’s day wise collection, the movie showed an ascending trend at the box office, while Prem Ratan Dhan Payo fell flat after a superb first weekend. The WOM for both the movies wasn’t good, but Dhoom 3 being an action thriller worked well among the masses as well as classes.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is probably in its last week at the domestic Box Office. The movie has raked in 206.63 crores till date which is way short of Dhoom’s lifetime collection (280 crores).
