Phillauri Movie Review by Manjusha Radhakrishnan from Gulf News: Anushka is ethereal-looking but never unreal. Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is perfectly cast as a troubled poet, but there’s little spark between Anushka and him. Suraj Sharma in his first mainstream Bollywood debut is on call to look perennially confused and lost. He does that with aplomb. It’s the predictability of the story that lets this film done. Watch this if you are a fan of Anushka Sharma.

Phillauri Movie Review by Lokesh Dharmani from Masala: Phillauri has two love stories interlinked with each other. Both stories are just spectacular. I mean spectacularly weak. The film though packs some genuinely heartfelt performances. Anushka Sharma is a natural. The film is extremely slow paced. Phillauri despite some genuinely good performances failed to stir any emotions or strike any chord.

Phillauri Movie Review by Anita Iyer from CityTimes: The film has it hilarious parts but moves at a slow pace when the ghost follows Suraj and he is confused after the situation he has got himself into. But the film leaves much to be desired – the story moves in the predictable direction. There are many moments when are waiting for the movie to catch pace and surely the film could have been more tightly edited. If you are looking for some light-heartened watch this weekend, Phillauri should be your pick.

Phillauri Movie Review by Divya Pal from News18: Anushka Sharma should be appreciated for bringing a film which we haven’t really seen. The best thing about Phillauri is its cast – everyone plays their part well. If you are expecting just humor, it might disappoint. But as a love tale, it will strike a chord. Love can make you do great things in life. Phillauri sends out a strong message.

Phillauri Movie Review by Indian Express: Directed by debutant Anshai Lal, the film has some nifty songs too. From Dum Dum to Sahiba or the rap-happy Naughty Billo, the songs keep the film moving. The film’s special effects have also been getting a lot of applause. Anushka’s ghost is a far cry from the white saree-wearing, candle-wielding spirits of Indian cinema. She is feisty and that comes across in how she is depicted too. The film’s flashback portions have also been tastefully shot with that sepia-toned quality. The script is slow and the film takes its time to get into the spirit of things.
